When climbing Mount (Gunung) Merbabu prepare for a day trip. Have always an open eye for the weather – it the weather changes and it get’s cloudy, you might get lost in the thick fog. The way up lasts about four hours, maybe much more, depends on your speed and the breaks you have. Reaching the peak one is rewarded with majestic views over these parts of central Java, including a stunning view on neighbouring Mount Merapi.
